Dr. Washburn is a board certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Sports Medicine. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Washburn received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine at Pepperdine University and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Northridge. He completed his residency in PM&R at UC Irvine, where he served as chief resident his senior year, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Washburn has received additional training in the field of orthobiologics and regenerative medicine and is certified by the Orthohealing Method. He also subspecializes in the use of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and assists in teaching ultrasound courses across the country. Dr. Washburn is experienced at treating athletes and non-athletes of all ages and has been a team physician at the collegiate and high school levels.
